With the Diogenes Quartet, Thorsten Johanns recorded the clarinet quintet by Max Reger. The album was released at the end of March 2020 by the cpo label and receives great reviews by the press.

Thorstein Johanns has recorded the second string quartet by Manfred Trojahn with the Minguet Quartet and the mezzo-soprano Tanja Ariane Baumgartner. The FAZ wrote on March 9th, 2020:
“… recorded by the Minguet Quartet, Thorsten Johanns (clarinet) and Tanja Ariane Baumgartner (mezzo-soprano) … It is delightfully beautiful!”
